Authors are magicians, able to conjure people, settings, and stories out of thin air. And, they can transport you back and forth in time. Just ask Stephen King, who swears he isn’t kidding about the idea. Of course, Mr. King is a freak of nature, a man near the very peak of writing success and most everything he says about writing needs to be considered as words from the Gods.
